RESEARCH - Clients are often quite hazy about this aspect of our work. Research in the context of executive search is a continuous process involved in identifying outstanding people and monitoring their achievements and aspirations on an ongoing basis. It falls into two distinct categories:
- Project research is conducted in support of assigned projects. With a clear understanding of the client's requirements, the research team launches a search for qualified candidates, initially by examining our existing database but more importantly through the identification of 'talent' within the relevant commercial sectors. There are surprisingly few 'candidates of ability' available at any one time and therefore the work of the research team is necessarily demanding and thorough.
- Ongoing research. Qualified people of all disciplines are constantly brought to our attention whether through professional search methods, introductions, the media or directly. The research
