The consultant is thoroughly briefed by the client. Points covered include the company's operation and performance, the organisation structure and culture, the job description, reporting relationships and approach to employment.
A written report or 'Appointment Analysis' is produced. This confirms the consultant's findings and is approved by the client. This report will be used with shortlist candidates as an information document and confirmation of the requirements of the position.
Lists of appropriate target companies and sources are compiled and edited.
Candidates are identified and approached. The client's identity remains confidential. As the project develops, the consultant regularly informs the client of progress.
